Birth Doula Support Service in North East London

The birthing room is one of the most sacred spaces we have, no matter our spiritual leanings or beliefs. There is just a certain special magic in new life making its way into the world. Being within that space is an honour, every time.

As a birth doula I offer personalised support tailored to your needs, from antenatal education and birth planning, hands-on and emotional support during your labour and birth, to advocating for you where necessary.

I am here for you, wholeheartedly.

There are a lot of polarising voices and opinions to navigate when it comes to your birth options and choices. This is an incredibly personal time, so the noise can understandably become overwhelming.

My belief is that people should be free to make well informed choices about their bodies, their pregnancies and their births, and that those choices should not only be respected, but actively supported.

This is why I am enthusiastic about providing balanced, unbiased information so you can understand the risks and benefits of your options, as well as all the time needed to decide what is best for you and your baby.

A big part of the antenatal preparation I go through is gentle acclimatisation to how the system works, so you can understand the language and culture of maternity services. My priority is empowering you and your support people to advocate for yourself, but I have been known to be a fierce (and diplomatic!) advocate for client’s preferences and unique needs as required, especially if I see injustice or harm happen.

Ultimately, my role is to learn how you and your family operate, what you need in order to feel safe, and empowered. If you’d like to know more about how I work with clients, that info is here.
